The following awards are given annually to honor some of our past members. The members left behind some great memories showing horses in the Indiana Paint Horse Club
Hellen Goddard Memorial Award
This award is to recognize outstanding volunteer work for the club. It is given in rememberance of Hellen Goddard, Pauli Crull's mother, who spent endless years helping in the entry booth.
Congratulations and thank you to this year’s recipients: Mike Carlson, Nancy Lentsch, Mary Cerny, Les Orsund, Laura Mason and Deb Tiede.
John Young Memorial Award
This award is given to the High Point Halter Stallion for the year. This is to remember the last great achievement John Young was awarded from the club. An Avid halter participant, John spent many years showing with and enjoying the membership of the club. . Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Got Em Talkin owned by Denis & Lesley Orsund.
Amy Hudson Award
This award recognizes a 13 & Under youth who continued to have a positive attitude toward their family, friends and horse. Amy was taken from us by cancer and we remember her as she spent much of her last year showing paint horses with us. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Erin O’Neill.
Deb Ellis Award
Presented in memory of Deb Ellis, who showed amateur in our club. This award goes to an amateur who has shown tremendous dedication in showing their horse. Deb spent many hours working toward showing her gelding and this award is to recognize such similar efforts. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Tracie Egger.
All of these members were taken from us way too soon, but we always want to remember the mark they have made on our club.
Youth Sportsmanship 14-18
This award is to recognize the youth who despite both the best and worst aspects of shoe competition, continued to have a positive attitude toward family, friends and horse. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Megan Slabaugh.
President’s Award
Selected by the President, this award goes to someone who has shown their dedication to the club by helping in one of the many areas available for promotion of the Indiana Paint Horse Club, it’s members, youth and the American Paint Horse. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Laura Mason
